In accordance with Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Controller informs you that personal data supplied by design professionals through the application form and the materials submitted to the competition will be processed for the purposes of managing their participation, promoting the competition, and, in the case of the winners, for managing the presentation of awards and organising the award ceremony. The processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of the contract or for carrying out pre-contractual measures adopted on request of the data subject, as per Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The provision of personal data is voluntary, but failure to provide the necessary information will disqualify the applicant from participation in the competition.

Personal data of design professionals participating in the competition may also be used by the Controller to provide them with updates about Cersaie via email and/or to invite them to subsequent editions of the event. The legal basis for these purposes is Article 6(1)(f), i.e. the legitimate interest of the Controller. In particular, given that the final award ceremony will take place at Cersaie, there is a legitimate interest in inviting design professionals participating in the competition to the next three editions of Cersaie and informing them about the event, unless they make an objection. In this regard, please note that with reference to the processing in question, you may object to the sending of further direct marketing communications, free of charge and at any time, by exercising your right to opt out of the specific update or by contacting the Controller by email at the address cersaie@cersaie.it.

Your data will be processed in printed and/or computerised/telematic form for purposes that may include drawing up reports in accordance with the principles set out in Art. 5, GDPR, and adopting the appropriate security measures established in accordance with Art. 32, GDPR.

The processing of personal data is necessary for verifying competition entry eligibility and throughout all phases of the competition, including its promotion and communication. Personal data will be retained for the duration of the competition and for the period of time strictly necessary to achieve the stated purposes, including the promotion and communication of current and future editions of the competition.

The Controller is Edi.Cer S.p.A., tax code and VAT no. 00853700367, with registered offices in Viale Monte Santo 40, 41049 Sassuolo (MO), Italy, and can be contacted at the following email address: cersaie@cersaie.it.

The data subject has the right to obtain from the Controller access to their data, the erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restriction, information, rectification, portability, objection to processing of personal data and withdrawal of any consent given, and in general may exercise all the rights established by Arts. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of the European Regulation 2016/679 by writing to the e-mail address cersaie@cersaie.it. This does not affect their right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
