The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Allianz Tower designed by Arata Isozaki and Andrea Maffei within the Citylife complex. With eight Michelin stars scattered across Europe and Asia, DaV has found a home on the first floor of one of the most iconic skyscrapers on Milan’s new skyline. The design is the exaltation of large ceramic slabs. To welcome guests, an elegant corridor inspired by natural stones and made with the piasentina stone effect slabs applied on the floor throughout the restaurant and as wall cladding in the dining room and bathrooms. Large slabs are also used for the cosy counter and in the bar area, applied to cover the splashback in the area used for preparing drinks. The continuous pattern of the large surfaces, interrupted only here and there by soft veins, contributes to a smooth, sinuous skin effect and is in perfect harmony with the other design materials used throughout.
